OVER 800, 000 FARMERS REDEEM INPUTS UNDER FISP – E-VOUCHER IMPLEMENTATION

Ministry of Agriculture has reported that a total of 802,655 farmers redeemed their farming inputs as of 1st December, 2025.

This represents 78% of the 1,024,434 targeted beneficiaries under the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP).

Ministry’s Principal Public Relations Officer, Balewa Zyuulu encouraged all the farmers who have not yet redeemed their inputs to do so as soon as possible.

“The Government commends all farmers who have redeemed their inputs early, as this contributes to timely planting and improved yields,” Mr. Zyuulu added.

He further urged agro-dealers across the country to continue stocking sufficient inputs in line with the increasing pace of farmer redemptions.

Mr. Zyuulu said the Ministry will continue to monitor supply levels to ensure nationwide availability.

“The Government remains committed to ensuring an efficient, transparent, and farmer-friendly programme. We continue to work closely with mobile network operators, agro-dealers, traditional leaders, and district agricultural committees to support seamless implementation,” he stressed.

He also reminded beneficiary farmers to use active phone numbers registered in their own names, matching their National Registration Card (NRC), for all FISP transactions.

Mr. Zyuulu stated that the Ministry is conducting continuous farmer verification to enhance identification and targeting.

“Only permanent SIM cards registered in the farmer’s own name should be used for all FISP activities,” Mr. Zyuulu emphasized.
