Lusaka Telecom Solutions has marked its 10th anniversary by donating assorted items worth K50,000 to the Cancer Diseases Hospital in Lusaka. The donation, which was handed over to the male ward on Friday afternoon, included foodstuffs and essential toiletries aimed at easing the burden of patients receiving treatment.
Speaking during the handover, Acting Public Relations Officer for Lusaka Telecom Solutions, Cheelo Sichone, said the gesture formed part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which was deliberately tied to the firm’s milestone celebration.
“On behalf of Lusaka Telecom Solutions, it is both an honor and a privilege to be here today at the Cancer Diseases Hospital, specifically at the Male Ward—a place where strength, courage, and resilience are witnessed every day,” Ms. Sichone said.
She explained that the company chose to celebrate a decade of operations by giving back to the community in a meaningful way.
“As we celebrate a decade of growth and impact, we are reminded that true success is measured not only by what we achieve, but also by what we give back. Our donation today—whether in the form of medical supplies, comfort items, or technological support—is made with the sincere intention to ease burdens, uplift spirits, and offer hope,” she added.

Ms. Sichone further commended the doctors, nurses, and support staff at the hospital for their tireless service, describing them as heroes whose commitment continues to inspire society.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the hospital, Public Relations Officer Jessica Mwanza expressed gratitude to Lusaka Telecom Solutions, noting that the contribution was unique because it targeted the male ward, an area often overlooked in donations.
“Cancer Diseases Hospital is very thrilled to receive this donation because most donations that come through are mainly for children and women. This is huge—K50,000 is a lot of money, and it will go a long way,” Ms. Mwanza said.
She explained that many patients come from rural areas and often lack basic necessities such as toiletries, making the donation particularly impactful.
“Cancer hits everyone—poor, rich—and even if you have money, cancer will financially drain you at some point. We encourage other corporate organizations to support all wards—men, women, and children—because everyone here needs help,” she added.
Also present from Lusaka Telecom Solutions were marketing personnel Elizabeth Nachivula, Pre-Sales Engineer Sabi Mulenga, and Pre-Sales Executive Catherine Malambo.
