KAOMA FOUNDATION EXTENDS HOPE AND DIGNITY IN SILWIZYA WARD

The spirit of compassion and servant leadership was vividly demonstrated in Silwizya Ward as the Kaoma Foundation, led by its founder Gabriel Kaoma—popularly known as Mungeli—continued its mission of uplifting vulnerable members of the community.

In a deeply moving gesture, the Foundation today donated a wheelchair to a five-year-old child living with a disability that has prevented him from walking. For the young child and his family, the wheelchair represents more than mobility—it restores dignity, hope, and the chance to participate more fully in everyday life.

In the same outreach, the Foundation also provided crutches to an elderly man, easing his daily struggles and enabling him to move with greater independence. These acts, though simple in appearance, carry life-changing impact for the beneficiaries and their families.

Gabriel Kaoma, an aspiring councillor for Silwizya Ward under the United Party for National Development (UPND), continues to distinguish himself through action rather than promises. Through the Kaoma Foundation, he has consistently responded to real community needs—health, mobility, and social welfare—long before seeking elective office.

Residents say his hands-on approach reflects a leadership style rooted in empathy, presence, and practical solutions. As Silwizya Ward faces ongoing social and economic challenges, initiatives like these stand as a reminder that transformative leadership begins with service to the most vulnerable.

The work of the Kaoma Foundation underscores a growing message in Silwizya: leadership is not declared—it is demonstrated.
