CFPs: Innovative Student Research Grant Program in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The 2026 DEI Graduate Research Grant
Application window: September 2025 – January 14, 2026

Purpose:
To support graduate-level research in behavior analysis focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Grant Amount:
1 grant awarded annually, ranging from US$1,000–$5,000. SABA may choose not to award a grant in any given year.

What They’re Looking For:

  • Innovative, empirical DEI-focused research.
  • Projects must be clear, rigorous, behavior-analytic in perspective, and address meaningful DEI issues.
  • Preference for projects evaluating real-world DEI efforts in community or organizational settings.
  • Multidisciplinary projects allowed, but one principal investigator (student) must be identified.
  • Recipients may apply for one continuation grant the following year.

Eligibility:

  • Demonstrated commitment to behavior analysis research.
  • Enrollment or acceptance into a graduate program (psychology, education, behavioral science, or related fields).
  • Enough time left in the program to complete the project.

Application Requirements:

  • Biosketch (using the provided template).
  • Proposal (max 5 pages + 2 pages for references) including: Title, Significance, Aims, Approach, Method, Limitations, Timeline, Budget, Matching Funding.
  • Letter of Support from academic advisor.
  • Resource Letter from department/program chair confirming available resources.

Award Conditions:
Recipients must submit a brief report and expenditure summary to SABA by April 1 of the following year.
